The Hall

Hi, I’m Kerrin Revell, welcome to my journey of thought, which today is about Arts in the VIlle.

On the 26th and up until the 26th of October I will be exhibiting some of my work as part of the Arts in the Ville art festival. I will be inside the Kaipara Memorial Hall, in Helensville, along with some other exhibitors.

With the dates soon approaching, I decided to visit the hall and just take it all in. I have seen the hall many times and been inside too, however I have never given it much thought, until now.

It still seems a bit surreal to me that I am going to be exhibiting my photographs and putting them all out there for people to see. It is one thing to put them on Instagram or wherever online, it is another thing to have people looking at them right in front of you. I am a bit nervous about that. I have acted on stage before and spoken to large crowds and never felt nervous but I guess my artwork is a bit more personal.

The organisers and locals have been busy decorating the town and no-where is safe from it, including the trees. There is a great atmosphere beginning to build now that it’s leading up to the weekend. I can’t wait to see what it’s like this weekend. I hope to see you there.
